Founded in 1988 and based in Miami, Florida, has Registered Nurses, Case Managers, Certified Life Care Planners and Rehabilitation Counselors throughout the United States.

The President, Marilyn Van Houten RN, MS, CDMS, CCM, began RCM in 1988 after 11 years of Case Management experience. She has over 35 years of nursing experience and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Masters of Science degree in Human Service Administration. View Resume

Marilyn is a Registered Nurse, a certified Case Manager (CCM), has been awarded Certification in Nursing Administration (CNA), a Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), certified by US Department of Labor in early intervention case management program and a Florida Certified, Division of Workers Compensation, Rehab Service Provider.  Personal family experiences have given Marilyn special insight into the complex problems of coping with catastrophic illness and injuries.

Marilyn has been actively involved in the professional development of case management at a local, state and national level.  She is the past President, Miami Dade Chapter of South Florida Case Management Network, (the South Florida chapter of CMSA). She has also served as the Government Affairs Chairperson for the South Florida Case Management Network, and past chair of the Government Affairs Committee, Case Management Society of Florida.  She has actively been involved in educating elected officials on the benefits of case management in the Florida State Capital, Tallahassee,  and Washington D.C.  Marilyn served as a National Director for the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) for three years.
